how to speak in liberal code
It's simple: Use big words.

Here's an article coving Rummy's speech.

Awesome.
I love Olbermann. He puts himself out there, but when he's on, it can be spectacular.
I think it was two years ago he published a piece at Salon about something of a professional depression he'd gone through at ESPN, about constantly feeling like grist in and for the mill. He distrusted his colleagues. He felt his career would never go anywhere. It was low self-esteem. It was personal restlessness.
The essay was, essentially, an apology for getting torqued up about things he couldn't quite identify. It was really well done, I thought. I probably thought that though because I felt the same way in my office job. For a time, Olbermann's essay made me feel better. And then I flipped out again and quit. Yay for me!
